The Studio Hills are a quiet hillside area in the prime Studio City Real Estate Market, South of Ventura Blvd.
In a recent census, the Hills of Studio City were also reported as one of the safest neighborhoods in the country! The homes in this area vary from new construction, to architectural masterpieces, to classic valley homes. Famed architect Robert Schindler designed several homes in this area of Studio City in the mid 40’s and there are many celebrity estates on large lots tucked into the hills. This is a great location in the hills of Studio City, walking distance to shops and restaurants on Ventura Blvd and Fryman Canyon. Most of the homes in this area have amazing views of the valley, from the mountains to the Santa Clarita valley on a clear day. The street boundaries are Laurel Canyon to the west, Vineland to the east, Ventura to the north, and Amanda Drive to the south. Most of the homes in the Studio Hills also fall into the boundaries of the awarding winning and highly sought after Carpenter School District. Studio City is one of those small neighborhoods at the edge of the Santa Monica mountains and the Hollywood Hills where people love to live. It’s not so much of a place for young people, only about 1 in 7 residents or so are younger than 20 (only 1 in 35 are 11 to 19) and 3 of 5 residents rent. So it’s an older community by virtue of the paucity of young people. Lots of celebrities and entertainment industry folks like to live in Studio City because of its location just far enough away from the heart of action to give them a bit of privacy, but close enough where they can get to it without too much traffic. There is also a wide selection of homes from mansions up in the hills off of Mulholland Drive to apartments and more middle class of homes down by Ventura Blvd. (In fact, you can find the home that was used as the exterior for the Brady Bunch in Studio City).
